Outreach

We believe the message of Jesus’ identity, life, death, resurrection and present work is the most wonderful message of hope that anyone can hear. The main way we share this message is through our weekly church services. On top of our services, and special guest services, there are a number of ways which we try to reach out into our community to let men and women, boys and girls know about Jesus. Some of these methods are listed below.
Christianity Exploredwww.christianityexplored.org
This is a short course that examines the claim of the Gospel of Mark that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Based round DVD presentations & group discussion this forum is a relaxed way of discussing various questions & issues about Jesus, the church, the bible etc. If you have never been on this course why not contact us (mail@lochbroomfreechurch.co.uk) and sign up for the next course.
We use the follow-up course Discipleship Explored and also the youth edition CY.
Missions
In Scotland we are blessed to have a number of mission agencies who specialise in short-term missions. In the past twelve months we have had a team from the Faith Mission (www.faithmission.org) and also a team from People with a Mission Ministries (www.pwamm.com) who came with the Challenger 3 Bus and helped with outreach work. These short-term efforts are designed to link in with our existing youth work and have been a real encouragement to the congregation.
Other outreach activities include our monthly lunch club for the ‘seniors’ in our community called the Evergreen Club. We also run a Babies & Toddler group on a Tuesday for young mums (& dads!).
It is our desire that these efforts are in addition to the personal sharing of the good news which every believer is involved in each day by our actions and words.
